Hyundai Ioniq map symbols
« on: May 18, 2020, 15:07:16 »
Hello from another newbie. Like a lot of people released from lockdown we went out for the first time this weekend. Car (Ioniq) was fine but a query resurfaced regarding the map symbols. I have looked everywhere in the documentation and  cannot find what on earth the yellow circles are that appear all over the place on the maps. Are they POIs, bus stops? Is there any meaningful documentation available anywhere.

Also, my car, when parked, hooks into the home wi-fi. It then flashes a message saying "Updating". Is this the map updating itself? Is this any different to the dealer update?

Apologies if these issues have been addressed previously and thanks for any help.

Pretty sure those circles are places you've passed, as marker points. I managed to turn them off in my settings.

Thanks. It seems weird as they are about every 400 yards and appear random but I will see if I can turn them off as you suggest. The home wi-fi query got resolved when I managed to catch a two-second message that said "updating traffic".
